With this collection, Lin japan incorporates a technique used by an Arita ware pottery studio that is referred to as a "bubble finish," creating a foamy, stippled texture. Ordinarily, defective unglazed pottery is discarded during the production process, but in the Awa collection, that unglazed pottery is crushed into fine pieces, made into a foamy texture, and used as a new decorative finish. This is but a small step in Kinshodo's greater efforts, but we are committed to putting the SDGs into practice where possible.
